Compact Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16GB eGPU launches with Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink

Morefine has launched a new eGPU, the G2, and it brings a desktop Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. While the company didn't share any performance metrics, it's worth noting that this external GPU comes with an OCuLink 4.0 x4 port.
There will be a certain level of performance drop, but with OCuLink, it typically doesn't exceed a quarter if paired with a capable host. For those with a system without this port, there's a Thunderbolt 5 port, which will also work with the USB4 v2 interface.
However, it's worth noting that OCuLink will offer better gaming performance than Thunderbolt 5. Regardless, the port configuration also includes another Thunderbolt 5 downstream port, capable of offering 4K display out at 144Hz refresh rate. There are three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.4 as well.
The company highlights that the upstream Thunderbolt 5 is capable of offering up to 100W PD (5-feet Silkland TB5 cable curr. $24.95 on Amazon), allowing the eGPU to power the host device alongside transferring GPU signals to it. Morefine also notes that the built-in fan has three modes, allowing users to switch between performance and quiet operating states.
As for the design, the eGPU is relatively compact in size. Morefine notes that it measures 140x100x54mm, which is mostly achieved by relying on an external PSU. This RTX 5060 Ti external GPU also has a relatively lightweight design, with the company claiming that it weighs around 700 grams.
Currently, the Nvidia eGPU is in the pre-order phase, with the price being $1,099. Morefine says that these early orders are expected to ship by May 20, 2026. Check out the spec sheet attached below to learn more about G2.
