GMKtec is once again discounting one of its latest additions to its mini PC lineup. The K11, powered by AMD’s Ryzen 9 8945HS, is going for 25 percent off from its original $799.99 on Amazon, meaning buyers can pay only $599.88 while the time-limited deal lasts.
The GMKtec K11 handles multitasking, gaming, and serious work well thanks to the 8-core 16-thread Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, which is based on AMD’s Zen 4 architecture. It features a 35W TDP, which, for more hardcore users, can be configured up to 70 W.
There is no discrete GPU. However, the integrated Radeon 780M iGPU with 12 compute units clocked up to 2800 MHz can deliver decent graphics.
The compact form factor K11 includes an OCuLink port, enabling pairing with more powerful external GPUs for enhanced graphics performance when handling more demanding tasks. Customers can also use up to four 4K displays with the mini PC thanks to an array of HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and dual USB4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort support.
Other connectivity options include dual 2.5 GbE LAN ports, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, two USB 3.2 Gen2, two USB 2.0, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The GMKtec K11 comes right out of the box with 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5 RAM paired with a 1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. However, buyers can step up with up to 8 TB of additional storage should it be needed. If they really want to go all out, they also have the option of souping up the RAM to 128 GB.
In our review, we found the K11 (also known as the NucBox K11) to be consistent in performance with no throttling issues, praising it as a good value for money. It handled multiple browser tabs well, but experienced dropped frames when playing 4K60 video content. The clear plastic top also scratched easily.
