Caviar, a company known for offering elaborately-customised smartphones, has announced the Cyberphone, an US$18,000 version of the iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max. As its name suggests, Caviar has taken the design of the Tesla Cybertruck and morphed it into a smartphone. Because why not, right?

The Cybertruck caught people's attention worldwide when Tesla announced it in November. Some people, like Jonas Daehnert, liked the design so much that they created renders of what a Cybertruck-inspired smartphone could look like. While Daehnert's design is never likely to see the light of day, you can now buy the Caviar Cyberphone instead.

Caviar, the company behind the gaudy Game of Thrones edition of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, has shamelessly used Tesla promotional videos in its marketing materials, if you were unsure from where the company had got its inspiration. Caviar claims that the Cyberphone, referred to as the iPhone Cybertruck in the title of its YouTube announcement video, is made from titanium. Strictly speaking, the Cyberphone is an iPhone case with a front cover that doubles as a kickstand.

If you are interested in the Cyberphone for some reason, than Caviar offers it in iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max variants with 64 GB, 128 GB or 512 GB of storage. Pricing seems rather confused, though. On the one hand, Caviar states all prices are on request, while simultaneously listing all SKUs at US$15,860. However, our German-speaking colleagues claim to have found the 512 GB version of the iPhone 11 Pro Max at US$18,220. At this price, the Cyberphone would be about 12.6x more expensive than the stock 512 GB iPhone 11 Pro Max.
