Car companies have a history of dabbling in the smartphone market, whether that be Porsche and the Huawei Mate Porsche Design Series or McLaren and its OnePlus collaboration. Now, one Product Designer, whose concept renders we have covered before, has imagined what a Tesla engineered smartphone could look like. Seemingly inspired by Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan who tweeted a Razer Blade Tesla crossover yesterday, Jonas Daehnert has shared concept renders of a Cybertruck-inspired smartphone with his 10K or so followers.
While the design will likely never see the light of day, it reminds us of how eye-catching smartphone can be. Daehnert has incorporated many 2019 cues, like a punch-hole front-facing camera and multiple rear-facing sensors, while weaving them within a futuristic-looking design. The raised-edge on the back of the Cyberphone could prove a pain when slipping it into your pocket, but it is striking enough to stir up conversation.
Daehnert has even thought about how to incorporate the Cybertruck's long headlight, subtly tucking it into to the top edge of the Cyberphone. His followers on Twitter have taken to the design too, with some tweeting Elon Musk in the hope that he could realise the Cyberphone. If you enjoyed the thought of a Cybertruck inspired smartphone, then make sure to drop Daehnert a message @PhoneDesigner.
