Casio set to launch new G-Shock watch with translucent bezel

Following last week’s teaser post on Instagram, G-Shock Korea has now officially revealed its latest Mobile Suit Gundam x G-Shock DW-5600 collaboration model in a new video. Speaking of launch, Casio is all set to launch the watch on June 4, 2026, in South Korea. However, there’s no word on its availability for other markets.
The teaser video revealed that the G-Shock DW-5600 features a design inspired by the RX-78-2 Gundam. The watch has a minimalist blue face surrounded by a white center case. The resin case is complemented by a translucent bezel and band. The transparent band has an Earth Federation Space Force emblem along with a mecha-like print and an orange band keeper.
For those who are curious to know that Mobile Suit Gundam is a 1979 Japanese anime series created by Yoshiyuki Tomino that launched the Gundam franchise and redefined mecha anime. Furthermore, on the back of the watch is engraved the winged horse emblem of the White Base. Another nice detail is the addition of “SINCE 1979," which appears on the LED backlight.
The Casio G-Shock DW-5600's key features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, a full auto calendar that extends up to 2099, an LED backlight with afterglow, a multifunction alarm, a shock-resistant structure, and 200-meter water resistance. It has an estimated battery life of five years.
As for price, Casio hasn’t yet revealed the price of the watch. We have to wait for the official launch of the watch to know about its exact price and availability details for other markets.
