Two new models under Casio’s “kurogane-iro” MR-G theme have now surfaced again - this time with more concrete pricing via Great G-Shock World Japan. Both the MRG-B2000RG-3AJR and the MRG-B2000BG-3AJR are priced at 385,000 yen (~$2,470), with a scheduled release in June 2025. You can check out our previous coverage of the watches here.
What stands out is that both models share the same retail price, despite very obvious differences in construction. Typically, full bracelet variants like the BG-3AJR tend to cost more than their rubber-strap counterparts. However, the RG-3AJR uses a more expensive recrystallized titanium for its bezel, which likely explains the pricing parity this time around.
The overall color scheme is still consistent across both models: a deep green shade accented with gold, inspired by the traditional Japanese “kurogane-iro” tone. The MRG-B2000RG-3AJR comes fitted with a black fluoro-rubber strap and features a brushed, stone-textured bezel with exposed hex screws. In contrast, the MRG-B2000BG-3AJR has a full titanium bracelet with a smoother brushed finish.
Both watches should launch with the standard MR-G feature set: solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity, world time for over 300 cities, and a triple subdial layout that includes calendar and multi-time zone functionality. The dials also feature a kikkō (turtle shell) pattern around the subdials and gold-accented applied markers for a more multi-layered look.
Casio has yet to officially publish a press release for the new models, but based on past launches and current listings, both variants are expected to roll out in limited quantities through G-Shock boutiques and select Japanese retailers starting next month.
