Alongside the GW-BX5600 watches, a new leak has now revealed the release date for the new upcoming Casio G-Steel model as well. As per a new report from Great G-Shock World, the GST-B1000 will be launched on the same day as the aforementioned GW-BX5600 watches - November 1. Considering this, November is shaping up to be a pretty eventful month for high-profile Casio releases.
Reservations for the GST-B1000 will begin at midnight on November 1, with dedicated pre-order listings already spotted on major Japanese retailers and Amazon Japan. Early access is expected to be limited, and sources say that availability could become tight immediately after launch due to high demand, which is actually very similar to what was seen with past G-Steel releases.
The GST-B1000 will be a big step-up in Casio’s G-Steel lineup this time around, debuting as the first four-digit model in the series and adopting a full analog dial design with three color options: black, blue, and green. The case is both slimmer and lighter than its predecessors, measuring 46.9 x 44.2 x 11.6 mm and weighing just 118 grams.
Core features include a stainless steel bracelet with solid links, premium Carbon Core Guard case, 30-minute analog chronograph, countdown timer, date and day subdials, and Super Illuminator LED backlighting. Additional highlights are Casio’s signature Tough Solar charging and Bluetooth smartphone link for deeper app integration and customization.
Rumored pricing remains in the ¥66,000 (~$441) or €350-€450 range, which means the GST-B1000 will sit squarely at the high end of the G-Steel family. Alternatively, for $187, you can snag the G-Steel GM700-1A on Amazon.
