On February 12, a new Extraction Action RPG will launch in Early Access. Created by former Blizzard veterans, the game combines classic MMO mechanics with fresh PvPvE extraction gameplay.

Legacy: Steel and Sorcery first made waves during Steam Next Fest 2024 and has since been regarded as a standout title within the gaming community. The game is the first project from Notorious Studios, founded by Chris Kaleiki and Doug Frazer, who bring over 14 years of experience working on the MMO giant World of Warcraft to this ambitious new venture.

PvPvE meets MMO elements

In Legacy: Steel and Sorcery, players venture into the high-fantasy realm of Mithrigarde. Whether solo or with up to two companions, you’ll battle monsters, gather loot and face off against rival groups. True to the Extraction genre, death means losing everything you’ve collected. The goal is to secure your treasures by returning them safely to the city, where you can upgrade your personal hideout to gain advantages for future adventures.

The Extraction MMO features a class-based progression system with four distinct classes: warrior, rogue, priest and hunter, each offering unique abilities and synergies. For instance, warriors can smash through walls, while priests can float over obstacles. Gaining experience points allows players to level up and unlock new abilities. Instead of using auto-targeting, the game employs a dynamic combat system that requires players to actively attack, block and dodge. The vibrant, colorful comic book art style adds to the game’s accessibility and creates an engaging, immersive atmosphere.

Early Access for Legacy: Steel and Sorcery begins on February 12 and is expected to last at least a year. The RPG will be available on Steam for $24.99.
