Two weeks ago, reports about new color options for the troubled Galaxy Note 7 mentioned black onyx as an excellent choice for the South Korean market. The main reason for this is, apparently, the very high demand for handsets with such a finish in the area.
A recent report from the area reveals that a Samsung employee who is a "high-ranking official" said that the company is going to launch the black onyx variant of the Galaxy Note 7 flagship early next month. Unfortunately, there has been no mention of any other market to get the new option at launch, except its home market.
Back in August, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launched with three color options: blue coral, silver titanium, and gold platinum. There is no official reason for holding back the black flavor, but it may have something to do with the iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus launch. Luckily for Samsung, the new finish comes in time to revamp sales after the whole exploding batteries saga.
