Bigme B6 Pro launches with 6-inch color E Ink display, 4G, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage

Bigme has released the B6 Pro globally as a new compact E Ink reader. The company previously introduced the B6 Color with a color E Ink display, followed by the monochrome B6 Black & White.

The B6 Pro uses a 6-inch color E Ink display with a resolution of 1,072 x 1,448 pixels. It delivers 300 PPI for black-and-white content and 150 PPI in color. Bigme claims refresh speeds of up to 75 FPS, with four refresh modes designed for different types of content.

Front lighting can be adjusted across 36 levels, with separate warm and cool tones. The reader is available in black and white, weighs around 176 grams and measures 6.98 mm thick.

The B6 Pro uses MediaTek's Dimensity 1080 octa-core processor, with speeds of up to 2.6 GHz. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Since it runs Android 14, it can also run more apps than dedicated e-readers. It has a 2,120mAh battery and charges through USB-C.

A 4G SIM card provides mobile data as well as calling and SMS support. The reader also has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, a speaker and two microphones. Bigme includes stylus support for handwritten notes and drawing.

The Bigme B6 Black & White has the same 6-inch screen size but uses a monochrome E Ink panel with 300 PPI. It also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The B6 Pro moves to a color display and offers more memory and storage, along with cellular connectivity. The B6 Pro is also considerably more powerful than the cheaper Bigme B6 Color, which uses the older MediaTek Helio P35 and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Pricing and availability

The B6 Pro is already available through Bigme's official store. At the time of writing, the Device + Case bundle costs $289, reduced from $329, while the Device + Case + Stylus bundle is priced at $305, down from $349.

In China, Bigme will open pre-sales for the 8GB + 256GB version on September 1. The pre-sale price is CNY 2,099, with final payments beginning on September 22.
