Benchmark leaks reveals details about unreleased OnePlus mid-range smartphone
A recent Geekbench listing has shed light on an upcoming OnePlus smartphone. For context, the company has already confirmed plans to launch the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R globally later this month. Additionally, it is working on 'CPH2605', a model number that the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) linked to the name 'OnePlus Nord N30 SE'.
In other words, OnePlus has developed an even cheaper alternative to the Nord N30, a mid-range handset itself (curr. $269.99 on Amazon). Accordingly, OnePlus has equipped the Nord N30 SE with a weaker chipset than its Nord N30 counterpart. Specifically, Geekbench mentions the 'ARM MT6833', a name that likely refers to the Dimensity 6020 rather than the older Dimensity 700 upon which it is based.
According to our database, the Dimensity 6020 falls about 7% short of the Snapdragon 695 that powers the Nord N30. Moreover, the Dimensity 6020 should provide the Nord N30 SE with a 5G modem, while OnePlus adds just 4 GB of RAM and Android 13 into the mix. Unfortunately, a release date remains unknown for now, although the device's presence on Geekbench implies that OnePlus is in the final stages of development.
