Baltic has refreshed its popular vintage-inspired Aquascaphe Classic dive watch, which the company now calls the Aquascaphe MK2. The new variant gets some serious upgrades in terms of design, case sizes, and dial colorways. To be more exact, the Aquascaphe MK2 dive watch now comes in 37 mm and 39.5 mm stainless steel case sizes.
The case of the watch is complemented by a unidirectional 120-click sapphire bezel. This time around, Baltic offers two new dial color options—blue and green—with options to choose from a glossy finish or a grey and warm silver-grained finish. The Aquascaphe MK2’s dial is adorned with hour markers and hour, minute, and second hands, which are coated with three-dimensional Super-LumiNova BGW9 lume. Like other dive watches, there’s no date window here.
Inside the case of the Aquascaphe MK2 is the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, which beats at a 28,000 vph frequency, features 24 jewels, and offers 42 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with 200 m (20 bar/660 ft) water resistance.
The Baltic Aquascaphe MK2 dive watch can be paired with FKM rubber tropical-style straps, stainless steel beads of rice, or stainless steel flat-link bracelets. As for price, the Aquascaphe MK2 with rubber strap is priced at €630, and for the bracelet, it’s €695. It will be available for purchase starting from September 25 via Baltic’s official store, with shipping starting October 6.
