The limited time deal includes dozens of Asus laptops from the ultra-thin ZenBook series to the enthusiast ROG series. It's a nice incentive even if the smartphones aren't the latest ones on the block.

If you happen to be in the market for both a laptop and a smartphone, then this latest Black Friday deal might be for you. Asus will include a free ZenFone Max M1 smartphone while supplies last if you plan on buying an Asus laptop. A total of 19 laptop models will be eligible for the free smartphone as listed here ranging from the $800 ZenBook UX431FA to the $3000 ZenBook Pro Duo UX581GV.

For enthusiasts, however, the ZenFone Max M1 may not seem all that enticing since it is a budget smartphone retailing for under $150. For these users, Asus is running a separate campaign for $500 off the high-end 2018 ROG Phone. Certain Republic of Gamers laptops like the Zephyrus S GX701, GX502, GX531, and more will be eligible for the program.

We recommend checking out our existing reviews to learn more about the laptops and smartphones in question. Unfortunately, the deal is not very lucrative to our eyes since both the ZenFone Max M1 and 2018 ROG Phone have been superceded by the newer ZenFone Max M2 and 2019 ROG Phone 2, respectively. It's a bit disappointing that Asus isn't throwing in the latest smartphone models to match its latest laptop models for the Holidays.
