The ROG Phone 5 is Asus' latest flagship-grade Android gaming device, and is powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor as such. The OEM also hypes it as supporting "supreme visuals" with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with HDR support and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. It also now has a live sales page on the company's US store.
Asus has tacked a price of US$999.99 onto its latest US-market variant. It gets the user one of the ROG Phone 5's 16GB variants (although there is an 18GB top-end SKU) with the new "Aura" RGB rear-panel accent reminiscent of the Zephyrus G-series laptops' AnimeMatrix lid-top feature.
The OEM also offers accessories to go with the new US-specific variant of the ROG Phone 5, such as the Kunai 3 controller and AeroActive cooler (which might prove the most useful add-on when wishing to pick one up).
The device also offers dual speakers and triple rear cameras, although it is not a phone to risk carrying in a back pocket and sit down on by accident, thanks in part to its 6000mAh battery.
The ROG Phone 5's 8GB and 12GB options are available on Amazon
