The evolution of Snapdragon X Elite from an experimental platform into a full-fledged competitor to Apple Silicon is happening in real time, and it is roughly 99% complete. Yes, the ASUS Zenbook A16 UX3607 is expensive. Yes, it still lacks stability. Finally – should you buy this laptop then? Well… it’s clear that Qualcomm and Microsoft improved a lot of things this generation. Most games run fine, but there are some games that just won’t run at all. However, for most use cases, I can just treat it like any other laptop and just use it as is. It’s actually viable to consider a Windows laptop that’s running on Arm architecture nowadays. But the price – well, I was told it is at RM7,999. It’s up there against the other high-end premium Zenbooks. And that’s all that we have to share with you here today about the ASUS Zenbook A16 UX3607O with the Snapdragon X2 Elite. It’s a super lightweight laptop with a wonderful screen and actually great performance. The things that I want to do on a laptop is also running smoothly now.

The ASUS Zenbook A16 (2026) boasts Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme smarts, beating Apple's Macbook Air M5 and Panther Lake rivals for power. Yet despite this and the excellent battery life - the ASUS Zenbook A16 can last for over ten hours on a single charge - it's an ultra-portable, surprisingly light laptop. The big highlight of this laptop is Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chipset, which is a proper beefcake and yet impressively efficient. This can power AAA games on demand and cope with photo and video editing on the move, even when running on battery power. Speaking of which, the ASUS Zenbook A16 2026 can last for a full day on a single charge no worries.

ASUS is having incredible success with its Snapdragon X-based Zenbook range, and the A16 is a stellar example of how Windows laptops can answer to Apple's MacBook Air without resorting to ridiculous pricing. At $1,699 (not the expected $1,599), the Zenbook A16 still offers great value, with a practically perfect PC that showcases all the terrific advancements of Windows on ARM64. It's an absolute stunner that steals the spotlight from Microsoft's Surface Laptop.

At the time of writing, the Asus Zenbook A16 is easily the best full-sized slim and superlight laptop on the market. It weighs next to nothing, has a superb OLED screen, an excellent sound system, and the looks and build quality are second to none. Add to that the impressive performance, excellent thermals and long battery life, and you have a recipe for laptop perfection. The MacBook Air 15 is thinner, and the Aspire 16 AI is cheaper, but neither is so perfectly balanced as the new Asus Zenbook A16.
