With its 17.3-inch widescreen display, not to mention its quite substantial 2.6 kg weight, the Asus X715L falls into the laptop category we'd call 'desktop replacement PC'. The large glossy screen with its slightly improved image quality make it more useful as a entertainment computer, even if graphics performance may limit some gameplay.

ASUS covered a lot with this model, because this is the 17.3" laptop whose configuration is good for multimedia and demanding tasks, available at affordable price. This is a well-balanced configuration and the laptop is cozy for work. The proven Chiclet keyboard and large touchpad combined with the IceCool cooling technology due to which the surface does not heat up too much, and a practical hibernation system (requires Windows 8 OS) where booting is performing within a few seconds, providing users with 2 weeks of stand-by time. Overall, this is good value for money and we do recommend this model.
Positive: Attractive and quality design; balanced configuration; high quality and comfortable keyboard, roomy touchpad. Negative: Mediocre display.

Bay Trail Office. The Asus X751MA offers a simple 17.3-inch laptop with a Pentium CPU. The performance is not powerful, but the laptop offers a lot of storage space and 8 GB of RAM.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail):

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4500U:
Haswell-based ULV dual-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.0 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4400 and a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller.
Intel Pentium:
N3530: Soc with an integrated quad core Atom processor clocked at 2.2 - 2.6 GHz and an Intel HD Graphics GPU.

2.8 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
2.8 kg:
67%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
