Asus spices up the VivoBook S14 visually and delivers a robust device with various color options. In addition, there are various features, which are partly mutually exclusive. Our review will show what else the VivoBook S14 offers.

For the most part, the 2020 VivoBooks S14s have outgrown their mid-tier segment, with neat design lines, excellent build quality, competent specs and long battery life, as well as fine inputs and punchy screens. Asus still went with fairly dim panels here, which limit the laptops' usability in brighter environments, and there are a few more quirks you should be aware of, regarding the keyboard/panel options on the lower-end S433FA models, and well as the overall performance of the S433FL variants with Nvidia graphics. We're covering all these in the review down below.

It is good to see when the manufacturers actually take their time and design a new chassis for their notebooks. Definitely, the ASUS VivoBook S14 S433 is a fresh little piece of machinery, which will provide a snappy experience and a lot of fun moments. One of the big pros of the device is the thin and light body, which can be configured with one of four color choices. We found the White unit particularly sleek.

As such, the most impressive aspects are those you’ll notice on a day-to-day basis. Except for heavy gaming or video editing, performance is impressive across the board. The keyboard offers a good level of travel, feeling tactile and responsive, while the port selection should mean you can use it adapter-free.

Considering its relative affordability in a world of four-figure laptops, the latest 14in Asus VivoBook is a decent choice. Highlights include superb all-round performance, great keyboard and a solid port selection. However, it’s far from faultless, with an average screen and iffy trackpad among the most noticeable. But if you can look beyond these compromises, the VivoBook could make a great everyday laptop for many years.

As a productivity and learning companion, the ASUS VivoBook S14 has proven to be more than capable of doing all the typical workload that day-to-day students and professionals use. The included NVIDIA MX 350 GPU is also capable of playing light and older games, as seen in the 3D Mark tests.

ASUS VivoBook S14 is a laptop that is at the pinnacle of technology right now and that is why it offers a lot of things that could not be provided together before. First of all, this is one of the slimmest laptops you can get right now, making it a lot more portable than most laptops released earlier. Another reason for this laptop to shine in the dark is that it is equipped with very efficient hardware which not only performs well but also allows people to use the laptop for long sessions.

The VivoBook S14 isn't a landmark laptop, but it's a capable, likable system at a popular price. We could wish for a brighter, more colorful screen, but its comfortable keyboard and lively performance make it a first-class value—and you can't deny that it's easy to find the Enter key.

The VivoBook S14 (S433EQ) is priced at PHP 59,995, which is the same price found on the previous VivoBook S14 10th-gen Intel Core i7 variant. If you recently purchased the 10th-gen model, there’s no need to feel bad as the performance can still be considered good. But if you’re scouting for a good laptop now for that budget, you’d be glad to know that the new VivoBook S14 received some upgrades.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated, a Taiwanese multinational company, produces motherboards, graphics cards, optical drives, PDAs, computer monitors, notebook computers, servers, networking products, mobile phones, computer cases, computer components, and computer cooling systems. The company's 2007 revenues reached US$6.9 billion. ASUS also produces components for other manufacturers. The Eee PC initiated the netbook boom in 2008.
In the notebook sector, Asus had a global market share of about 11% from 2014-2016, making it the fourth largest laptop manufacturer. In the smartphone sector, Asus is not among the Top 5 and has only a small market share (as of 2016).
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce MX250: Successor of the MX150 and still based on the same Pascal GP108 chip (similar to the desktop GT 1030) but with higher clock speeds. Available in two versions, a normal 25 Watt version and a low power version with 10 Watt TDP and reduced performance. The 25 Watt version e.g. offers a 21% higher boost clock than the old MX150 leading to a 5% performance gain.
Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.
NVIDIA GeForce MX350: Successor of the MX250 and most likely a renamed GeForce GTX 1050 based on the Pascal GP107 chip with 640 shaders and a 64 Bit memory bus for GDDR5.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10510U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced on 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.8 and 4.9 GHz (all 4 cores 4.3 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports DDR4-2666 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default).
i5-10210U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced in 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.6 and 4.2 GHz (all 4 cores 3.9 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports LPDDR4-2933 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). Compared to the faster i5-10510U, the level 3 cache was reduced from 8 to 6 MB.
Intel Ice Lake:
i5-1035G1: Ice Lake-based quad-core processor for thin and light laptops. The CPU has four Sunnycove cores clocked at 1.0 GHz to 3.6 GHz that support Hyperthreading (8 threads). Furthermore, the SoC integrates a Intel UHD Graphics G1 graphics card and Wi-Fi 6 / Thunderbolt support. The chip is manufactured on the first-gen 10 nm Intel process.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i7-1165G7: A higher-end, quad-core processor of the Tiger Lake product family. The i7 is designed to be used in ultra-light laptops. It is manufactured on the second-gen 10 nm Intel process marketed as SuperFin and it features the Iris Xe G7 (96 EUs) iGPU running at 400 MHz to 1,300 MHz. The CPU cores run at 2.8 GHz (base clock speed @ 28 W TDP) to 4.7 GHz (single-core Boost frequency). This i7 was the second-fastest CPU of the TGL-UP3 lineup when Intel initially launched the series in 2020.
i5-1135G7: A quad-core, mid-range processor of Tiger Lake product family designed for use in ultra-light laptops. The i5 is manufactured on Intel's second-gen 10 nm process marketed as SuperFin and features an 80 EU Iris Xe G7 iGPU. Core i5-1135G7 has a base clock speed of 2.4 GHz as long as it is allowed to consume 28 watts.
