Reports are mounting on the Apple Support Community and Reddit about display issues occurring on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. As the photo above shows, several iPhones suffer from a strong, pink colour overlay, so bad that devices are rendered useless. Additionally, affected iPhones crash regularly, for some reason.
Purportedly, the crashes and pink screen occur randomly and without a pattern. Apple has not adopted a consistent response, either. Initially, it issued replacement devices under warranty. However, Apple has rejected other claims, reasoning that it is not a hardware problem. Instead, the company asserts that the issue could be because of software bugs.
Still, the Cupertino-based company has not specified when it will fix the issue. Currently, Apple recommends that people make a full backup of affected iPhones and reset to the latest version of iOS. Theoretically, Apple could address the issue in iOS 15.3. Unfortunately, the Release Candidate's changelog is silent on a bug fix for pink display issues.
Ultimately, restarting and resetting does not resolve the issue for some devices. As a result, it would still be advisable to contact Apple's support channels to arrange a repair. Alternatively, Apple's solution so far is to wait until an unspecified software fix arrives.
