Apple has finally confirmed the date and time of its highly-anticipated Q1 2022 event. It will be live-streamed on all major platforms at 10:00 PST. The date isn't exactly a secret, with several reports accurately predicting that it would happen on the aforementioned date. Nonetheless, the event is one to look out for because of the litany of products that are slated to be launched.
For starters, we get a new iteration of the low-cost iPhone SE complete with 5G connectivity. A multitude of leaks and concept renders tried to imagine it, and all doubts about its innards should be cleared then. In the same vein, there's a new iPad Air 5 set for launch on the same date. It is, in all possibility, little more than an iPad 4 with new innards, and it'll be interesting to see what upgrades Apple has in store.
However, the proverbial star of the show will be Apple's new M2 chip, a direct successor to the M1. It will debut alongside some new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. The latter will apparently be offered in three screen sizes: 13-inch, 14-inch and 16-inch. Those looking forward to upgrading their ageing MacBooks/iPads will find the Apple event to their liking, as will those on the prowl for an iPhone that doesn't burn a massive hole in their pocket.
