Rumors of a first-gen "Apple Watch Pro" have emerged again in what might be the device's last leaks ahead of its imminent debut. They purport to outline the differences between this allegedly inaugural variant and the more predictable vanilla Series 8. The new tips also hint that the Pro might get even bigger than previously thought.

Apple is now believed to unleash an inaugural Pro version of its Watch alongside the iPhone 14 series that could be as durable as it is expensive. Now, not more than 48 hours from its potential reveal, leakers claims to have uncovered what might be the most compelling evidence of its existence yet.

91Mobiles has just posted "exclusive" images presented as the most detailed CAD renders for the Watch Pro yet. They purport to reveal the new putative top-end variant's flat display set in a frankly chunky-looking case which, according to the blog, will go up to 49mm in size rather than the 47mm measurement cited in previous leaks.

Therefore, the Watch Pro may have at least 2 groundbreakingly large SKUs, or comes in just 1 suited to even fewer potential customers than suspected to date. Furthermore, the "Pro" is now depicted as distinguishing itself even further from its vanilla counterpart with a new protrusion it has sprouted under its physical buttons.

This potential design tweak is also reflected in another new leak shared by DuanRui on Twitter, purporting to showcase bumpers for the same Watch Pro chassis in multiple colorways. The accessories sport cut-outs that accommodate its new side-mounted hump, and are also compatible with what might be a SIM card tray and a speaker on the opposite edge of its relatively massive case.

These hardware features are corroborated in the new 91Mobiles renders, thereby possibly hinting at standalone connectivity and specs such as Bluetooth call support (or independent audio playback) on the "Watch Pro". All in all, it seems Apple is intent on giving some consumers the chance to pack all the features they need from their iPhones on their wrist in late 2022.
