One of the most exciting weeks of the year for Apple fans and developers is about to kick off. In less than 2 hours (at 16:00 GMT, June 9), Tim Cook and his company will once again provide detailed previews of the latest major updates for its various operating systems. Enthusiasts can follow the keynote live.

It remains to be seen if this will be the biggest update ever for iOS and the like. Either way, the latest iterations of Apple’s operating systems are expected to get new version numbers that now refer to the year after their launch, so iOS 19 will likely become iOS 26. Additionally, these major updates will introduce a new look that’s inspired by Vision OS and purportedly includes many “liquid glass” effects. These plans have been leaked over the past few weeks, as some developers have already unveiled what the new design could look like.

Moreover, Bloomberg’s chief Apple analyst Mark Gurman has already outlined his predictions for Apple’s WWDC keynote on June 9, 2025. He doesn’t expect any new hardware, but in addition to iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and Vision OS 26, Apple could introduce homeOS for smart home devices. All other updates will supposedly focus on a visual overhaul instead of new features.

That being said, Apple may offer a few functional changes as well, such as new Camera, Calendar or Phone apps. Furthermore, the Preview app known from macOS could make its way to the iPhone and iPad, while AI-powered features could optimize battery life and translate different types of content system-wide. Last but not least, gamers can apparently look forward to a new Games app. It goes without saying that Apple could also have some surprises up its sleeve. The livestream kicks off at 1:00 PM ET and can be followed on YouTube, the corresponding link is embedded below.
