Anker’s new Zolo 30W wall charger rolling out to more countries
A new Anker wall charger in the brand’s Zolo range is said to be on the way. The device is already on sale in China and, according to Reddit user u/joshuadwx, is rumored to roll out shortly to other markets worldwide, like the US. It is worth noting that the accessory resembles the 511 Charger (Nano 3, 30W).
The Zolo 30W wall charger offers a PowerIQ 3.0 USB-C port with a maximum output of 30W. ActiveShield 2.0 helps to protect against overheating, and foldable pins make the product easier to transport. The main difference appears to be the addition of the Ice-Chip, cooling the device. According to Anker, the technology ensures charging temperatures are around 11°C (~20°F) lower than the requirement of various international standards. However, this appears to make it heavier and larger than the 511. The new 30W charger measures 3.6 × 3.2 × 3.15 cm (~1.4 x 1.3 x 1.2 inches) and weighs 49 g (~0.1 lbs), whereas the older device measures (~2.8 × 2.8 × 3.5 inches) and weighs 36g (~0.08 lb)
The rumors also suggest that a 20W version is on the way, with model number A2699. You can buy the Anker Zolo 30W Wall Charger in China for 43.5 yuan (~$6). It is unclear how much the accessory will cost in other countries like the US. As an indication, the Anker 511 Charger (Nano 3, 30W) retails for $22.99.
