Anbernic Win600 launches for US$314.99 with AMD Athlon Silver 3020e and Athlon Silver 3050e APUs
Anbernic has started selling the Win600, which it offers in three configurations. To recap, the Win600 has a 5.94-inch IPS display (1,280 x 720) and a 39 Wh battery that supports up to 45 W fast charging. Additionally, the Win600 has the usual assortment of gamepad buttons, although the left-hand joystick sits beneath the d-pad, which could be awkward to use during prolonged sessions.
Currently, the Win600 starts at US$314.99 with an AMD Athlon Silver 3020e APU, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Only available in black at this price, the machine's Athlon Silver 3020e has a Radeon RX Vega 3 iGPU, a 6 W TDP and two Zen cores that do not support Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT). For reference, Anbernic includes an M.2 2242 SATA 3.0 SSD and DDR4-2400 RAM.
Alternatively, the Win600 is available in black or white colour options with an Athlon Silver 3050e, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD for US$389.99. While the Athlon Silver 3050e features the same iGPU as the Athlon Silver 3020e, its two Zen CPU cores support SMT. According to our database, the inclusion of SMT and 200 MHz higher clock speeds results in an approximately a 13% performance uplift over the Athlon Silver 3020e. As it stands, Anbernic states that it will ship orders from China at the end of August. Hence, expect to pay customs duties and taxes on top of the cost of the machine itself.
