Deal | Amazon's latest Fire TV Stick 4K (2026) is already 50% off with a free Game Pass subscription

A few days ago, Amazon announced a new Fire TV Stick 4K with a slimmer design and a redesigned remote. However, we recommended our readers purchase the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which is older, but has better features as it was on sale and cost less than the new Fire TV Stick 4K. Now, Amazon has slashed the new Fire TV Stick 4K, making it worth considering now.

The new Fire TV Stick 4K cost $59.99 when it launched, but Amazon has slashed the price by 50%, bringing it down to $29.99. In addition, new users also get 1 month of Xbox Game Pass. Amazon didn't say how long this deal will last, but if you originally considered it, but was put away by its launch price, then it is advised you grab this deal now.

Agreed, it is not Amazon's best 4K TV streaming device as it lacks Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. However, unlike the Fire TV 4K Plus and Fire TV 4K Max, the Fire TV Stick 4K can be powered by your TV's USB port. Early reviews have also confirmed the new remote is more comfortable to hold, while some users have praised the new Vega OS that ships with it as being smoother compared to the older Fire OS.

However, the Fire TV Stick 4K isn't without its demerits. Some reviews have stated the lack of certain apps on the new platform, although major streaming apps are available. There are also a handful of complaints about the inability to pin non-sponsored apps such as HBO Max, Peacock, and Paramount Plus to the main bar.

While the aforementioned issues can be addressed with a software update, the measly 8GB of storage is something you have to live with. However, if you just want a TV stick to turn a dumb 4K TV or monitor into a smart display for streaming, then it should suffice.
