The PlayStation 5 Showcase takes place later today and millions of fans are expecting Sony to announce the prices and pre-order information for the next-gen console. It has now been reported that Amazon landing pages for the PS5 have started being taken down, with many believing this is a definitive sign that the price/pre-order wait is over. An updated list of potential retailers is included here.

Millions of PlayStation fans around the world will be glued to the edge of their seats later today (or tomorrow depending on your time zone), watching the upcoming PlayStation 5 Showcase on either Twitch or YouTube. There are plenty of rumors and expectations connected to the event, with the revelation of the PS5 release date, prices, and pre-order details being foremost in many minds.

Thanks to some seemingly tireless observers, it has been noticed that many Amazon landing pages for Sony’s next-gen consoles, which have been viewable for many months now, have been taken down. It appears the sites for Amazon in the UK, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, and Australia have removed their PS5 pages, while the US, Canada, and India sites still have theirs showing at the time of writing.

Even with this turn of events, it would still be wise for PS5 fans to not expect too much, although there is some belief that pre-orders could begin straight after the event (which is unlikely and goes against Sony’s claim of offering some warning beforehand). Prices are rumored to be around the US$499 mark for the PS5 and US$399 for the Digital Edition, but there is some room to maneuver here for the Japanese company.

We have published an updated list of retailers around the world who may be offering PS5 pre-orders over the coming days. The Amazon links for many countries are currently showing a "page not found" notice, but you can use the link shown in the notice to go back to the relevant home page if necessary.
