A relatively unknown leaker has posted an image of a heretofore unseen, notchless phone, portrayed as lined up against a another that could be the OnePlus 6T. This phone exhibits what looks like the OnePlus Launcher, and, like the '6T', is shown in an unwieldy prototype case. However, this new leak also has some odd discrepancies.

A relatively unknown leaker (@xiaovai77 on Twitter) has posted an image of a previously unknown phone. As it is pictured next to what looks like a OnePlus 6T, the leaker proposes that the new device is its successor, probably to be known as the 7. This phone is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor; furthermore, according to this leak, it also has a notch-free, bezel-less display.

The '7' is shown in an ugly off-white case (possibly a prototype) which extends a bit above the top of the display. This area of the case contains what appear to be cut-outs for sensors, suggesting that the phone has a sliding mechanism like that of the OPPO Find X or Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. The '6T' is also shown in a similar prototype-like case.

Both phones' on-screen contents resemble those of the OnePlus Launcher, which is part of Oxygen OS, the OEM's skin for Android. However, this is also where the leak starts to fall apart a little: the '7' and '6T' show different dates and times. This image has also been posted to SlashLeaks, where it has a trust score of 40% at the time of writing. Therefore, the new leak and its encouraging indications that OnePlus has advanced its design language beyond the notch is looking less reliable than some may hope.
