MWC 2016 | Alcatel unveils Plus 10 2-in-1 tablet

The Alcatel Plus 10 is a 10.1-inch tablet with 1280 x 800 pixels IPS display, powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor.

Alcatel showcased its first 2-in-1 Windows tablet at MWC 2016 in Barcelona today. Dubbed the Alcatel Plus 10, the device is expected to hit the shops in the EMEA region in June.

The Alcatel Plus 10 is a 10.1-inch tablet with 1280 x 800 pixels IPS display. The tablet is powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor (Cherry Trail), accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in flash storage, expandable by up to 64 GB via the micro-SD card reader. 

The tablet comes with 4G LTE module that, interestingly, has been placed inside the detachable keyboard dock. The module can be used as a mobile hotspot for up to 15 devices. It also carries a secondary 2,580 mAh battery that, together with the primary 5,380 mAh unit inside the tablet itself, allows for up to 8 hours of operation.

Other noteworthy specifications include: stereo front-facing speakers, 5 MP rear and 2 MP front-facing camera, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Pricing and specific availability date have not been unveiled so far.
