Numerous ARM laptops with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chip have just been announced, ranging from the Microsoft Surface Pro 11, the Dell XPS 13 to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x. Acer has now joined the fray with its Swift 14 AI, which is by no means the most compact of all recently presented notebooks with a height of 15.9 mm and a weight of 1.68 kg.
On the other hand, the device has far more ports than most Snapdragon laptops with two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and HDMI 1.4. The slightly thicker casing is utilized to install a relatively large 75-Wh battery, which is said to enable a runtime of up to 12 hours, but Acer does not specify the conditions under which this runtime was determined. Small unique features include the symbols on the trackpad and on the display lid, which light up when Microsoft Copilot is in use.
Acer supplements the ARM chip with 16 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, a PCIe 4 SSD with a capacity of up to 1 TB and a 14.5-inch IPS panel in 16:10 format, which reaches a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a frame rate of 120 Hz; the sRGB color space is fully covered. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are standard features, as is the 1440p webcam with a privacy shutter and infrared camera for Windows login via facial recognition.
