Acer has launched two pre-built gaming PCs at IFA 2025: Predator Orion 5000 and Predator Orion 7000. As their names imply, the Orion 7000 is the top-spec offering, while the Orion 5000 is the next best. Neither one is particularly cheap, but given the state of the GPU market, buying one might actually make more sense than going the DIY route.
The Predator Orion 7000 comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM and 6 TB of solid-state storage (1x PCIe Gen5 NVMe drive + 2x PCIe Gen4 drives). A 4 TB mechanical hard drive can also be added optionally. Acer keeps the Arrow Lake CPU cool with a 360 mm liquid cooler and a Predator CycloneX Fan. A 1,200-Watt PSU keeps everything fed and leaves room for overclocking. Connectivity options on the Predator Orion 7000 include 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, five USB 3.2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Type-C ports, and three audio ports.
Moving on to the Orion 5000, it downgrades the CPU to a Core Ultra 7 265F (for some reason) and the GPU to an RTX 5080. While the maximum supported memory remains the same, storage is downgraded to 2 TB (1x PCIe Gen5 + 1x PCIe Gen4), but the 4 TB mechanical drive option remains. Everything else, including the I/O and network connectivity options, remains the same across both SKUs. However, the PSU has been downgraded to 850 Watts.
The Predator Orion 7000 starts at €3,999, and the Orion 5000 starts at €2,999. Both desktops will be available to purchase in Q1, 2026.
