AYN reveals full specs of its upcoming flagship Odin 3 gaming handheld

AYN is gearing up to launch the Odin 3 as one of the first gaming handhelds that's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the current flagship SoC from Qualcomm. Recently, the company shared the design and some core features of the Android handheld, and now, it has revealed the complete specs.

Among the newly shared specs is the charging speed, and the Odin 3 is seeing a slight downgrade over its predecessor in this regard. To be specific, the AYN Odin 2 is capable of charging at 65 W, while the upcoming gaming handheld is now confirmed to have support for 60 W fast charging.

The spec sheet has also revealed that the wireless connectivity of the Odin 3 will see a slight upgrade. While the predecessor had support for Bluetooth 5.3, the upcoming Android gaming handheld will sport Bluetooth 5.4. It retains the WiFi 7 and USB 3.1 Type-C port.

AYN's new gaming handheld also seems to have ditched the Micro HDMI port that's available on the predecessor, as there's no mention of it in the newly shared spec sheet. However, there's support for DisplayPort Alt Mode through the USB-C port (3-feet Anker Prime Type-C cable curr. $20.99 on Amazon).

Another key detail that the spec sheet reveals is the configurations that will be available for the AYN Odin 3. There will be four tiers, and each of them will come with the following amount of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage:

• Base: 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage
• Pro: 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage
• Max: 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage
• Ultra: 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage

An active cooling system, a 6-inch "exclusive" AMOLED screen, a TF card slot, and an 8,000 mAh battery are among the other highlights of the gaming handheld. AYN has yet to reveal the pricing details of the Odin 3, but that info is expected to emerge soon.
