AMD to release its Adrenalin driver updates for 2019 soon

AMD will release its Adrenalin drivers for 2019 in two days. This new update will replace the 17.12.1 version for Radeon gaming cards. It is said not to bring any performance enhancements, however, and will offer a range of feature updates instead. For example, it updates WattMan with the ability to overclock GPUs & memory, and also GPU-undervolt, automatically. The WattMan feature will also now be able to unlock DPM states for RX Vega, and enable in-game adjustment for GPU frequency, voltage, temperature, memory timing, memory frequency and load/save profiles in Radeon Overlay and AMD Link.

Radeon Settings will get a 'Game Advisor' which will work in conjunction with Radeon Overlay to suggest optimal settings according to the set-up in question. Settings Advisor and Upgrade Advisor will act as a 'Radeon Settings tutorial' and an upgrade prompt (presumably with suggested components) respectively. The new Adrenalin will also add  improved auto-tone mapping to FreeSync 2 HDR, and support for 21:9 displays  to Virtual Super Resolution. 

AMD Link will also gain support for QR Code linking, as well as voice control in streaming, recording, screenshots, instant replay, FPS settings, GPU settings, memory settings and fan speed. The new drivers will also add AMD ReLive to Radeon-based systems. This involves an Android/iOS app that allows for the viewing or control of In-Game Replay, Scene Editor, GIF Support and streaming (up to 4K/60fps) on mobile devices. AMD claims that ReLive is associated with 70=millisecond (ms) responsiveness, compared to 125 ms on competing solutions. AMD ReLive will also be available for the HTC Vive Focus, Oculus GO, Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream. The Adrenalin update will also bring third-party Bluetooth compatibility of up to 1440x1440p to these headsets.
