AMD's Ryzen Ai 400 Gorgon Point laptop CPUs were first spotted in a shipping manifest earlier. It consisted of four SKUs, each with a TDP of 28 Watts. While it didn't reveal much in the way of actual specs, its FP8 socket suggested it was a Strix Point refresh. Now, we get a glimpse of one of the models' GPU on FurMark.
X leaker @momomo_us spotted an unnamed AMD GPU on the platform. Its associated CPU is called AMD 100-000001868-30_Y, which happens to coincide with Gorgon Point. It scores 1,097 points in FurMark's 1440p test. A cursory glance at FurMark's database implies this could be a Radeon 780M GPU. However, if Gorgon Point is indeed a Strix Point refresh, it could be the newer Radeon 800M series SKU, as confirmed by its PCI ID (1002-1114).
The mystery GPU's max power draw maxes out at 47 Watts. While that is definitely on the higher side, FurMark is designed to push a GPU to its limits. Other specs include a boost clock of 3.085 GHz. This is slightly higher than the Radeon 890M's boost clock of 2.9 GHz. AMD may have given the Gorgon Point GPU a clock speed boost to differentiate itself from Strix Point.
