AMD's official roadmap confirmed its next generation of Gorgon Point would arrive sometime in 2026. An unnamed Gorgon Point SKU showed up on FurMark recently, and now, we get a better look at it thanks to SiSoft's database. The model in question is a top-spec Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a mid-cycle refresh of the Strix Point-based Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
Specs-wise, it features a 12-core CPU with 24 threads. While its P/E-core breakdown isn't highlighted, it is likely an 8+4 split. Additionally, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 comes with a 12-CU GPU, which can safely be assumed to be a Radeon 890M because, at the time of writing, there has been no word on Zen 4 mobile GPUs.
Lastly, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 has a boost clock of 5.3 GHz, 200 MHz higher than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. It was tested alongside an HP EliteBook X G2a 14 laptop with an unspecified amount of RAM. Its appearance on public benchmark databases hints at a CES 2026 launch, which is around when Intel plans to launch Panther Lake laptops. Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite lineup is expected to follow suit shortly after.
