AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G desktop APU returns to CPU-Z confirming single-thread superiority over Ryzen 7 4700G and Intel Core i9-10900K
CPU-Z benchmark results for the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G have already turned up before, with an overclocked unit churning out a single-thread score of 660.8 points in that particular run. New benchmarks shared by software engineer Patrick Schur have resulted in more conservative single-thread scores, but they are still good enough to mark a generational improvement over the chip's Renoir Ryzen 4000 counterpart and beat out the Comet Lake i9-10900K.
This time around, the Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G, which was mistaken for the practically identical Ryzen 7 5700G desktop APU for a while, scored 614.0 and 623.6 points for the single-thread test in two runs. The latter score is a healthy +15.27% ahead of the 541 points listed for the Ryzen 7 4700G in the CPU-Z Validator. In comparison with the 10-core, 20-thread i9-10900K, the Zen 3 Cezanne APU gained +6.78% over the Comet Lake rival according to the Validator chart.
As for multi-thread testing, the 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G managed 6,229.4 points and 6,335.8 points in the two benches. The latter score is +9.09% over the Renoir predecessor but a considerable -14.22% behind the i9-10900K, although as mentioned above the Intel competitor has a 2-core/4-thread advantage. It’s also worth noting that the Zen 3 Cezanne desktop APUs are expected to have 65 W TDP limits whereas the Comet Lake chip has a TDP of 125 W.
