The AMD Ryzen 7 5700G arrives on eBay with early benchmark results
It has been about a month since a Ryzen 7 5700G engineering sample appeared on a Chinese social media platform. The post contained a picture of the Cezanne APU, along with some CPU-Z screenshots showing its performance and specifications. The APU, assigned the OPN 100-000000263-30_Y, has eight cores and was shown to outperform the Ryzen 7 4700G and Ryzen 7 3700X. You can read more about the CPU-Z results here.
These screenshots have surfaced again, this time in an eBay listing. @harukaze5719 brought the listing to our attention, which remains live, but the seller has sold the samples since at least late January. According to the seller, the CPU-Z screenshots have been provided by their buyers, which suggests that one of those posted their results on QQ.
The eBay listing also contains a previously unseen Cinebench R23 result though, which shows the Ryzen 7 5700G clocked at 4.7 GHz. We have not benchmarked many processors using Cinebench R23, but this engineering sample is within 1,000 points of the Ryzen 9 5950X in the single-threaded benchmark. Additionally, the Ryzen 7 5700G outperforms, according to the official OCUK CB R23 benchmark thread, the Ryzen 7 3700X by about 26% at stock speeds in the multi-threaded benchmark.
The engineering sample had been selling for US$499.99. However, the seller has now increased its price to US$999.99, possibly because it is the last engineering sample that they have.
