AGM officially launches affordable tablet with Android 16 and 8.68-inch 120 Hz display

AGM Mobile has launched the new rugged PAD P3 Compact, which is designed to be held and used with one hand outdoors or at a job site.
The PAD P3 Compact has an 8.68-inch display with an 800 x 1,340 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It can reach up to 600 nits of peak brightness and measures 14.5 mm thick. AGM also includes an adjustable strap for hands-free carrying, while an optional rotating metal stand can prop the tablet up at different angles.
The tablet uses a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A microSD card can add more storage when needed. There is also a 7,200 mAh battery with 18 W charging. For photos, AGM has added a 50 MP rear camera, while a built-in camping light can be useful when working or moving around in low-light conditions.
For durability, the PAD P3 Compact carries IP68 and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification. It runs Android 16 and supports Widevine L1 for HD streaming. The tablet also supports NFC, GPS and Wi-Fi.
AGM is offering different connectivity options depending on the market. The Global version adds 4G and eSIM support, while the US version is Wi-Fi only.
Compared with AGM's older PAD P2 Active (curr. $299.99 on Amazon), the new tablet is smaller and has a faster 120 Hz display instead of a 90 Hz panel.
Size is also one of the main differences between the PAD P3 Compact and the Alldocube iPlay Mini 4 and Lenovo Lecoo Mini, which we recently covered. Both of those tablets are thinner and lighter, but they do not offer the same level of rugged protection.
AGM PAD P3 Compact price and availability
The AGM PAD P3 Compact is now available through AGM's official website for $279.99. AGM is currently offering a 5% launch discount with the code P3EARLY10. AGM also offers a one-year guarantee.
