ACCENTUM True Wireless: Sennheiser releases new Red Dot Design award-winning ANC earbuds
A few months have passed since Sennheiser introduced the ACCENTUM Plus, a pair of wireless headphones that boasted up to 50 hours of battery life. Just yesterday, the company released the HD 620S as closed-back successors to the HD 600. Also, it has started selling the ACCENTUM True Wireless, a pair of earbuds that it sells in black, white and blue finishes.
According to the company, its new earbuds combine 7 mm drivers with up to 8 hours of battery life, or 28 hours when factoring in its charging case. Incidentally, the latter supports Qi wireless and USB Type-C wired charging, with 10 minutes of the latter providing up to 1 hour of playback. Sennheiser adds that the ACCENTUM True Wireless earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 as well, along with LC3 and Qualcomm aptX high-definition codecs.
Please note that the earbuds retain support for lower-resolution AAC and SBC codecs, too. Meanwhile, the ACCENTUM True Wireless offers Hybrid ANC and Transparency modes. For some reason, although Sennheiser also advertises the earbuds as supporting Auracast and LE Audio, these features will only be delivered via a post-release firmware update. At any rate, Sennheiser has priced the ACCENTUM True Wireless at $199 and is already selling the earbuds through third parties like Amazon. Please see Sennheiser's product page for more information.
