989 gram lightweight convertible with Thunderbolt 4 and Gorilla Glass: Dynabook unveils Portégé X30W-M
Dynabook is relaunching its ultra-light Portégé X30W and upgrading the ultrabook to the Intel Core Ultra 7 165H, which has six performance cores with boost clock speeds of up to 5.0 GHz, eight efficiency cores, and an Intel Arc iGPU. Dynabook also installs 8 GB to 32 GB LPDDR5 5200 RAM and a 256 GB to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The Portégé X30W-M is particularly interesting in view of its extremely low weight of 989 grams, despite the additional weight for the convertible hinge, which also allows the device to be used in tent and tablet mode. The touchscreen is protected from scratches by robust Corning Gorilla Glass and is compatible with a Wacom AES 2.0 stylus. The notebook has a 13.3-inch Sharp IGZO IPS panel with a maximum brightness of 400 nits.
