Reason #1 - No ugly logo below the display
Companies like HP and Dell sometimes place the logo right below the screen. (See our Latitude 13 7340 review as an example.) As a consequence, the user has no option but to look at it a million times a day. Schenker does not do that to its customers which says a lot about the company and its practices.
Reason #2 - No PWM
The Vision's 14-inch, 1800p IPS display delivers decent brightness of around 370 cd/m2. Its contrast ratio is very good at 1500:1 and it covers the entire sRGB spectrum. Better yet, the backlight is flicker-free which means the user's eye will be safe.
Reason #3 - No coil whine
While the two internal fans can get a bit loud when under high load, we weren't able to hear coil whine or any other electronic noises that are unfortunately rather widespread in the laptop world. (A few laptops that do suffer from the annoying issue that is coil whine: HP ZBook Firefly 14 G10 A, Acer Swift Edge 16, Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga G4).
Reason #4 - Easy serviceability
This Schenker laptop's bottom panel is easy to remove. Once inside, the user will be able to replace the Wi-Fi card, the battery, the two RAM modules and the M.2 22 by 80 NVMe SSD in mere minutes. This is in stark contrast to many other laptops that offer no way of upgrading RAM or Wi-Fi card down the line.
Reason #5 - It never gets hot
In real-world use such as gaming, the Vision 14 just barely crosses the 40° C mark. Keep in mind that we tested an iGPU-only configuration; the case would probably get noticeably warmer to the touch if the optional GeForce RTX 3050 was taking care of 3D calculations.
Reason #6 - No SSD throttling
Our test model came with a 1 TB Samsung SSD 990 Pro that delivered stable ~7 GB/s sequential read and write rates (according to CrystalDiskMark, at least). The issue of SSD throttling is common to so many laptops nowadays. The Schenker Vision 14 is lucky not to be a member of that club.
The Acer Predator Helios 18 and the Dell Latitude 13 7340 are but two examples of laptops that exhibit SSD performance sustainability issues.
Reason #7 - 99 Wh battery comes standard
In no small part because of its large capacity battery, the Schenker laptop delivers very good battery life. 10 hours of Web browsing via Wi-Fi is a result that most Windows laptops can only dream of.
