GRID Autosport
Released on PC and consoles in June 2014, GRID Autosport represents one of the best arcade style racing games in recent memory. There are a plethora of vehicles and tracks to choose from, a unique “rewind” feature to assist with split second errors of judgement and various driving styles. The graphics are identical to the PC and console release and with a pay once pricing model for the full game, this is as good as Android and iOS racing gets.

Alien Isolation
Also released on PC and consoles in 2014 and ported by the same developer as GRID Autosport, Alien Isolation is a terrifying horror stealth game set in the Alien universe. With claustrophobic corridors, psychopathic synthetic androids and of course the saliva dripping, acid spitting xenomorph popping up at inopportune moments, Alien Isolation is one of the best looking horror games to play on your mobile device.

This War of Mine
Less graphically intensive than the other two games in this list, This War of Mine was lauded for its visceral depiction of civilian life during wartime. It is a strategy game that puts you in a battle for survival, scavenging resources at night, avoiding snipers during the day, maintaining your shelter and keeping your small band of survivors alive. Not quite as action orientated as the other two, but a quality game that few mobile titles replicate.
