Black Friday Deal | $120 Google Pixel Tablet Black Friday discount drops 11-inch Android tablet to a near-record-low price
Google's iPad killer Pixel Tablet is $120 off this Black Friday, making its position as the Apple iPad killer even stronger, since the Black Friday deal brings the Android tablet down to a whopping $279 at Best Buy. With something like the Lenovo USI Pen 2 (curr. $40.99 at Best Buy), it is even able to take on the likes of Samsung's Galaxy Tab S9 FE for value, despite its $299.99 Black Friday deal pricing.

In our review of the Google Pixel Tablet, we praised it for its long battery life — over 16 hours in our Wi-Fi web surfing test — solid build quality, and USB 3.2 type-C port, which is something of a rarity at its MSRP. This means that you not only get fast data transfers via a USB cable or flash drive, but you could connect an external display to the Pixel Tablet, although it lacks a DeX-like desktop UI, which has been previewed in previous Android betas.
The Pixel Tablet's IPS display is equally satisfying, with a maximum brightness of 535 nits, making it acceptable for use outdoors, while the 94.9% coverage of the sRGB colour space makes it adequate for entry-level design and digital art work. The Google Tensor G2 SoC and 8 GB of RAM aren't going to blow anyone's socks off, but it's a perfectly acceptable hardware spec for a mobile productivity and note-taking machine.
When not out-and-about, the Pixel Tablet can be used in conjunction with Google's $129 charging dock with built-in speakers for a display-equipped home assistant that can pull double duty as a music device.
