The Poco F7 is still a few days away from being released. Nonetheless, Xiaomi has now decided to start teasing the launch price of its latest handheld. For context, the company allowed us to provide a brief look at the Poco F7 yesterday before its full debut on June 24.
In short, the Poco F7 should be significantly cheaper than the Nothing Phone (3), despite relying on the same Qualcomm chipset. As was already apparent, the Poco F7 will utilise the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which should deliver roughly the same performance as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 underpinning the Poco F7 Pro (curr. $599.99 on Amazon). The Poco F7 will utilise a much larger battery than its Pro-branded sibling though, particularly in India.
So far, Xiaomi has not confirmed just how much the Poco F7 will cost. Instead, it has suggested that the handset will retail for less than INR 35,000, which converts to roughly ~$405 at current exchange rates. By contrast, the Nothing Phone (3) is expected to start at $799 in the US and €799 in the Eurozone.
According to leakers like Sanju Choudhary, the Poco F7's starting price will also include 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, unlike last year's Poco F6. With that being said, the Poco F7 may retail for slightly more than its predecessor in its base configuration, which ran to INR 33,999 (~$393) before factoring in any discounts. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen how much the Poco F7 will cost outside India at this stage.
