Xiaomi POCO F6 Pro revealed to be Redmi K70 re-brand with 5,000 mAh battery running Xiaomi HyperOS
The POCO F5 Pro (curr. $519.99 on Amazon) is currently nearing its first birthday, having been announced on May 9, 2023. However, this has been ample evidence of late that Xiaomi is preparing to release a successor. For example, Xiaomi certified the POCO F6 Pro with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in Thailand earlier this year, full details of which we have covered separately.
While the NBTC did not share any device details, it did like the retail name 'POCO F6 Pro' with the model number '23113RKC6G'. As we discussed at the time, the 'G' suffix in 23113RKC6G confirms that it is a global device. Additionally, its root matches with '23113RKC6C', the model number for the Redmi K70. Now, 23113RKC6G has turned up on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), evidence of which we have embedded below.
On the one hand, the FCC confirms that the POCO F6 Pro contains a 5,000 mAh typical battery capacity, or 4,880 mAh going by its rated capacity. On the other hand, the handset runs HyperOS, just like the POCO X6 Pro. Assuming the POCO F6 Pro follows all other Redmi K70 specifications, then it will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 1440p OLED display and a 50 MP primary camera, among other features. Unfortunately, a POCO F6 Pro release date remains unknown for now. With that being said, more hardware details can be found in our Redmi K70 launch article.
