Xiaomi has unleashed its latest Open Earphones today (June 26, 2025) as part of a bumper event for other premium devices such as the Redmi K80 Ultra and Mix Flip 2.
They owe their new Pro moniker to the Harman Master Tuning missing in their OpenWear Stereo predecessors, not to mention a Hi-Res Audio Wireless Gold certification for their ability to transmit audio at an up-to-96 kilohertz (kHz) "HD" rate.
Their new "5-unit" system integrates an enlarged 18x13mm main driver for potentially enhanced bass, alongside a piezoelectric ceramic tweeter for "clear and detailed" treble.
The Open Earphones Pro are touted to be relatively streamlined nonetheless, with an upgraded "aviation-grade" titanium loop to keep them secure on the outer ear and an official IP54 rating for mild splash resistance.
They are also backed to last for up to 45 hours per charge, and to support the latest smart features such as on-board recording and translation.
Then again, they are rated for Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, whereas other new (and cheaper) earphones (open ones included) have moved on to the newer 6.0 standard.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi has released the Open Earphones Pro (in white, black or gold) at a price of 999 yuan (~$140) in China.
