Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 specs detailed with record-breaking battery capacity

Xiaomi has said nothing about its Galaxy Z Flip7 and Motorola Razr 60 Ultra (curr. $1,169 on Amazon) rival since publishing its first teaser a few days ago. To recap, the company merely published a photo showing a portion of the Mix Flip 2's retail packaging. The company has confirmed that the Mix Flip will return with Leica cameras, though.

According to ITHome, the Mix Flip 2 is still in line to launch with 50 MP primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras with 1/1.5-inch and 1/2.76-inch optical formats, respectively. Mentioned by Digital Chat Station in January, the cameras may only provide minor upgrades over those that Xiaomi includes in the original Mix Flip.

Similarly, the Mix Flip's foldable display is expected to drop from 6.86 to 6.85-inches between generations. Still an LTPO AMOLED panel, the display is also believed to retain a 1.5K output. Presumably, Xiaomi will continue to offer a 120 Hz refresh rate, too.

Arguably, the biggest upgrade from the Mix Flip to the Mix Flip 2 could be the latter's battery capacity. Apparently, Xiaomi will install 3,825 mAh and 1,225 mAh rated batteries, which it may advertise as 5,100 mAh. If that is the case, then the Mix Flip 2 should launch later this month with the largest battery of any clamshell foldable with 6% and 8% larger capacities than the Mix Flip and Razr 60 Ultra, respectively.
