Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra goes to the top of DxOMark's charts
Bargain flagship hunters already have their eye on several current flagship devices from Chinese makers, and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is no exception. It has been made in honor of Xiaomi’s tenth anniversary and the company has looked to make a splash with its camera optics, in particular, and it looks to have hit the mark. There has been a lot of hype around the device, and for good reason, it seems.
DxOMark has just published its review of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra cameras and it has gone straight to the top of the charts in both still photography and video performance. It achieved an overall score of 130, pipping the Huawei P40 Pro by two points. It also scored a mark of 142 for its still photography, also setting a new record in the process. DxOMark was particularly impressed by its exposure control, color rendering, white balance, dynamic range and detail in a wide range of lighting conditions.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra features a primary camera with a 48 MP 1/1.32" Quad-Bayer sensor, a 12 MP 1/2.56” sensor with 2x optical telephoto, a 48 MP 1/2” Quad-Bayer sensor with 5x optical telephoto and a ultra-wide 20 MP 1 /2.8” sensor. It can shoot video in 8K 30fps and 4K in either 30fps or 60fps. This combination also helped it pick up the site’s highest video score of 106.
Starting from the equivalent of US$760 in an 8/128 GB combination, it is definitely a phone to seek out if you are after a more affordably priced Snapdragon 865-based device with top-notch photographic capabilities.
