Xiaomi 12 Ultra to debut alongside the Xiaomi 12S series

A while ago, Xiaomi revealed its plans to launch its most prominent flagship for the year, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, next month. It appears the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will not debut alone, however, and will arrive accompanied by other premium devices.

According to word from Chinese sources, Xiaomi plans to launch the Xiaomi 12 Ultra alongside the Xiaomi 12S series. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will, of course, sit at the top of Xiaomi's traditional smartphone hierarchy. Not much is confirmed about the Xiaomi 12S series at the moment, but two models are currently expected: the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro. 

A live image of the Xiaomi 12S surfaced weeks ago, confirming that the duo will also benefit from Xiaomi's camera collaboration with Leica. The Xiaomi 12S series has been touted as a refresh of the Xiaomi 12 series in China. It looks unlikely that the phones will ever make the trip out of China, though, especially with the Xiaomi 12S Pro being expected to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9000.
