The successor to the Vivo X200 Pro will not get radical changes like the Vivo X200 Ultra with its 35mm camera and nearly equally large sensors, but it is supposedly getting some noteworthy upgrades nonetheless. This specifically applies to the camera. Although the smartphone’s launch in China is still a few weeks away, Vivo manager Han BoXiao has been teasing the X300 Pro quite heavily since September 1.
After official details on the base model Vivo X300 with its ISOCELL HPB 200-megapixel sensor and the new Vivo X300 Pro telephoto camera emerged over the last few days, the Vivo X300 Pro has been put in the spotlight yet again. The phone is not expected to launch in Europe until 2026, or by the end of 2025 at the earliest. A short video on Weibo, from which we have taken some screenshots, now demonstrates how well you can zoom into a photo that’s been taken with the new 200-megapixel telephoto lens.

Vivo X300 Pro gets new Sony LYT-828 sensor
In contrast to the Vivo X300 and its 1/1.4-inch 200-megapixel ISOCELL HPB main sensor, the Vivo X300 Pro will utilize the 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828. The direct successor to the LYT-818 in the Vivo X200 Pro is not larger but, according to the official product presentation, is supposed to produce significantly more dynamic shots. The new sensor is combined with an F/1.57 lens, which is said to have CIPA 5.5-level stabilization and will benefit from a Zeiss T* coating. The Vivo X300 Pro's triple camera also gets the advantages of the Zeiss APO telephoto.
