Vivaldi 4.2 now available with Neeva search support, scrollable web panel buttons, Vivaldi Translate improvements, and more
Vivaldi 4.2 arrived yesterday as a "fresh, new, and shiny" release that packs some fixes and tweaks, as well as a few changes that can be easily noticed. The new version numbers for the stable builds are 4.2.2406.44 (desktop, on Windows, macOS, and Linux) and 4.2.2414.27 (mobile, only on Android).
Vivaldi 4.2 for desktop users features the ability to generate and share a QR code for the active page, an action that can be performed using quick commands, keyboard shortcuts, or mouse gestures. The updated version of this browser also allows its users to translate privately any selected text with the Lingvanex-powered translation tool that is hosted on Vivaldi's own servers. The buttons in web panels are now scrollable.
In addition to the above, Vivaldi 4.2 also features Neeva (privacy-friendly and ad-free search engine) integration (on both desktop and mobile), as well as multiple tweaks and fixes under the hood. Obviously, those who want to check the entire list of changes (and have the patience and time to do it, since it's a pretty long list, as usual) can check it out on Vivaldi's website.
Lastly, Linux fans might have missed last week's news concerning Vivaldi's new status as the default browser in the Cinnamon edition of Manjaro, but it's never too late to celebrate.
