Sony has released a limited run of Linkbuds Fit ANC earbuds (WF-LS910N/MK) in collaboration with virtual anime singer Hatsune Miku. The special includes an illustrated stand drawn for this collaboration as well as two digital holomodels and an original song 'Believe Day' for download. This special package is priced at 33,000 yen (~$225), and only 500 units are available. The earbuds can be purchased from Sony Japan online.
The Fit comes with Hi-Res Audio certification and uses the LDAC audio codec to enable high-resolution music playback over Bluetooth 5.3 connections with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40 kHz.
The Linkbuds Fit earbuds provide users with a secure fit thanks to unique wings called Fitting Supporters that help them stay in place even while exercising, according to Sony. They use shallow eartips that do not need to be inserted deep into ear canals to achieve a good seal for active noise cancellation. The ANC system has Ambient Sound Mode, allowing wearers to hear nearby sounds and voices without removing the earbuds.
The Linkbuds are controlled through touch taps on the earbuds or skin surrounding the ear thanks to their Wide Area Tap feature. The earbuds also support voice control using Google or Alexa voice assistants as well as hands-free head gesture control.
Readers outside of Japan can buy the regular Linkbuds Fit from Amazon US.
